A pleasant surprise you found in Ipoh is Ipoh Tuck Kee Famous Noodle House. One of the oldest and most famous noodle shop Ipoh Tuck Kee established since 1963, located at No.61, Jalan Yau Tet Shin, 30300 Ipoh,Perak.
This is a third generation family business where it was started by their grandfather by selling fried noodles with pedicab for the past fifty years at new town “Paloh” (old Chinese name for Ipoh). The fried noodles are well accepted by residents in Ipoh and it has emerged as a new trend of local cuisines. Not long after, their grandfather was shifted the business to a shop lot and name it as Ipoh Tuck Kee noodles shop. With the limited space of the new noodles shop, and even with extra tents outside of the shop to provide a cover from the weathers, you can imagine the place to be fully crowded with people throughout the day.
Fifty years of fried noodle experiences, the third generation of Ipoh Tuck Kee is well known for its tender fried War Tan Hor Fun and the delicious of fried noodles with appetizers. Ipoh Tuck Kee strongly believed in using their heart and soul in serving only the finest quality of Fried Noodle for their customers. They are noodle lovers and they aim to share their passion in cooking great fried noodle for you. If you are craving for a plate of fried noodle with enough 'Wok Hei', this is the traditional famous noodles place that you must visit.
The most famous dishes that are favorable in Ipoh Tuck Kee is Wat Tan Hor Fun and also other fried noodles. There is another must try taste buds is “Ba Zhao Yu” (Baby Octopus). The sliced tentacles of baby octopuses are served on a plate of oil based sauce with the sliced onion stalks and ground garlic. This is one of the wonderful dishes in the house recommended by the chef.
